Serving Teens Impacted by Pregnancy

Imagine being a parent at just 16 years old. How do you go to school while taking care of your child? Many teen parents drop out because it's just too difficult to continue. YFC's Teen Parents helps teens who are affected by pregnancy complete their schooling. The parents study for their high school diploma or GED in our computer lab while their children are cared for in the room next door. We also provide classes in parenting, relationships and life skills. Staff and volunteers provide free transportation to and from the City Life Center, and free lunch is served for everyone involved.

Volunteer with Teen Parents

We serve more teen parents all the time. This is great news! But it also means we need more volunteers to help them achieve their goal of graduating from high school. Perhaps you have four hours a week to help? We need people to help with child care, and tutors to help the girls with their online curriculum. Classes are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
